About the Role As a key member of the Derrimut branch, we are looking for an upbeat team-player. You will work as an all-rounder where no two days will be the same. Your input will be crucial to maintaining efficient operations within the workshop including loading, unloading, and cleaning of plant and equipment and general pickups. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Perform safe loading and unloading of plant and equipment exiting and returning to the yard
• Perform safe cleaning and detailing of all plant and equipment in the yard
• Conduct general housekeeping of the yard facilities in accordance with company standards
• Conduct spray-painting of plant and equipment as requested
• Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the workplace
• Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness and litter management.
• Ensuring timely completion for all inspection, testing, safety, delivery and purchasing paperwork is completed in full.
• T/A work for tradesman when and as needed
• Responsible for spare parts & stock takes
• Driving to pick up parts from suppliers or delivering parts or equipment to sites.
• Assist as otherwise directed
Skills and Experience: Essential • Previous experience in a similar role
• High Risk Forklift License (LF)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Patient, flexible and adaptable to changing and challenging circumstances with great problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and an ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
• Ability to work well with other team members and champion the NPE brand
• Ability to work with flexibility and initiative with limited direction or supervision
Desirable • Previous Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries would be advantageous
• Rigging & Dogging License (DG/RG)
