WSP is looking for experienced Site Supervisors with extensive Geology/Geotechnical experience for an exciting project in QLD! This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP QLD Geotechnical team. You will collaborate with other talented professionals and be a key member of a truly iconic Energy Transition project, which will help drive future-ready outcomes and benefit communities and generations to come.
What You'll Do Working a roster of 12 days on 10 days off or 10 days on 4 days off, you will oversee the day-to-day works comprising geotechnical drilling, downhole testing, laboratory testing, and instrument installation. You will be based onsite at a Project base camp, with accommodation and food provided. A gym will also be available at camp, and a bus will be used to mobilise personnel to and from the camp from Brisbane. Overtime incurred will be paid in accordance with WSP Overtime policy – full details will be relayed prior to your commencement.
About You To be considered, you must have:
A geology, Engineering Geology, or Geotechnical Engineering background Extensive site experience in major field programs and/or large projects Demonstrated prior experience performing geotechnical logging (soil and rock) with AS 1726:2017 An Australian Drivers licence and prior experience with 4WD vehicles Ideally, you will also possess the following:
Experience with ANCOLD Geotechnical Guidelines (2020) Experience with in-situ testing: packer, pressumeter, DST, overcoring Experience with deep drilling (>100m) and inclined holes Experience with WVP installation In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
