As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will join our multidisciplinary project team working on an iconic long-term major mining project. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of a wet processing facility for our client's Western Australian Iron Ore Operations. This will be their first major wet processing facility in 40 years, allowing you to be part of a rare and exciting project.
What you'll do:
Creating project delivery documentation for project standards, project requirement specifications, functional specifications, systems architecture, test and validation, commissioning, and change management. Responsible for performing PLC software development, undertaking interface testing, on-site commissioning and completing commissioning records. Ensuring all Control System engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices. Supervising the preparation of preliminary and detailed designs of Control System engineering projects and ensuring project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in the project scope of works. Assist in coordinating the preparation of the project deliverables including documents for various project phases and tender documentation as required. About You
You're likely to have demonstrated experience working within mining and minerals processing. In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
Bachelor of Engineering Degree, and +8 years of relevant professional experience. Familiarity with PLC platforms and SCADA HMI platforms (Allen-Bradley and AVEVA Plant SCADA/Citect preferred). Familiarity with process control communications protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC, ProfNet. Experience in control system design and documentation. Competency with PLC software development such as ladder logic and Function Block Diagram, preferably RS Logix & Unity. Familiarity with electrical LV design, drawings and related electrical documentation. Experience with Iron Ore Wet Plant, or similar, design and/or operations preferred, but not essential. Experience with functional safety systems preferred, but not essential. Competency with instrument selection including primary element specification preferred, but not essential. Experience with other PLCs such as Schneider, GE and Siemens are preferred, but not essential.
