We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with training and experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to coordinate & run our DBT program and Gold Card Clinic (GCC) (Brief Intervention program for people experiencing suicidal ideation).

Where you'll be working: Wahroonga Rehabilitation Services, part of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Mental Health Services. Located at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.
What you'll be doing: The Clinical Psychologist will coordinate the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) program, and Gold Card Clinic (Brief Intervention program) for Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Mental Health Service (HKMHS), delivering comprehensive assessments and treatment to consumers, and coordinate and implement both group and individual interventions, including care coordination.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Full AHPRA registration as a psychologist with a master's degree or higher in clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology or relevant clinical area in psychology AND post graduate experience in acute mental health and / or inpatient psychiatric settings.Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of therapies including DBT, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy including training and experience in the provision of a comprehensive DBT program - both groups and individual sessions.Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication to suit the target audience and negotiation and organisational skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved consumer care and outcomes.A Current NSW drivers licence.This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
