About the role We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our dynamic team!
Under the direction of the Documentation Engineer, the Technical Writer will create, edit, and translate technical documentation and training materials as directed.
The Technical Writer will interact with engineers, software developers, technical specialists and other staff to ensure content is correct and fit for use.
You will have the chance to work in our stunning Windsor, Brisbane office from Monday to Friday, within an inclusive, friendly, and supportive work environment to ensure your contributions are recognized and valued.
What you will be doing Liaise with content owners and create technical documentation such as product specifications, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, Safety Work Procedures and troubleshooting guides for complex products, incorporating both hardware and software; Documents complex products and writes technical procedures and instructions with a clarity and style easily understood by target audiences with different levels of technical expertise; Communicates with technical staff and product managers to obtain the relevant information; Creates training videos and tutorials for our Learning Management System.
What you will bring Engineering degree or other appropriate tertiary qualification; A minimum of three years' experience in technical writing within an engineering or technical environment, preferably mining or manufacturing; Has extensive experience using an online Content Management System; Has exceptional computer skills and can use a variety of different software to capture and communicate information; Has experience documenting complicated processes or procedures; Creating technical illustrations using PowerPoint, Visio, or other appropriate tools; Experience with video editing tools; Exposure to software, electronics, or mechanical engineering.
