We have an exciting opportunity for a Pipeline Lead to join our team in Townsville where you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and effective execution of work on the North Queensland Gas Pipeline. In this leadership position, you'll guide the site-based operations and maintenance team, overseeing pipeline operations, field services, and the planning and implementation of maintenance strategies.
What you'll do
Proactively drive and maintain a safe working environment. Lead and facilitate HSE training initiatives across the team. Implement and ensure compliance to the Environmental and Cultural Management plan. Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for the team. Coordinate field operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with operational standards. Plan, manage, and oversee project and work activities to meet deadlines and objectives. Prepare detailed reports for the senior leadership team on progress and performance. Engage with key stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and support operational goals. Continuous review and improvement of systems and procedures to enhance performance. Uphold Worley's core values and commitment to safety, integrity + excellence. Develop + implement long term strategic plans for pipeline operations + maintenance. Manage project budgets effectively to ensure financial control and accountability. Oversee contractor management to ensure performance and compliance with standards. What you'll have
Previous experience working in a high-pressure gas environment. Strong knowledge of gas industry regulations and compliance standards. Advanced trade qualification with relevant hands-on experience. Proven experience in leading and developing teams to achieve operational goals. In-depth knowledge of field operations, practices, and procedures. Strong leadership skills in operations and maintenance, including planning and scheduling. Ability to ensure that contract obligations and performance targets are met. Skilled in interpreting and developing contract scopes of work. Ability to set and manage deadlines for both individual and team deliverables. Solid understanding of site HSE legislation and duty of care requirements. Experience implementing safety and quality initiatives on-site. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
