Our client, a key player in material handling, seeks a Workshop Technician in Sunshine, Victoria.
This role involves a comprehensive range of maintenance services, including planned maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and modifications to various equipment, in strict accordance with customer requirements, company guidelines, and Australian Standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete maintenance and repairs of forklifts and access equipment.Adhere to company OHS & E requirements.Execute instructions and work unsupervised.Complete tasks diligently and within specified time frames.Examine detailed requests, reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, repairs, or sub-assemblies.Conduct hydraulic diagnosis and repairs.Perform machine function and safety checks.Conduct periodic maintenance on equipment.Perform Off Hire Checks and Pre Delivery Inspections.Conduct basic engine servicing, mechanical repairs, and electrical diagnosis.Fit and assemble metal parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.Carry out fabrication work, including welding and cutting of threads.Fabricate hydraulic hoses and dismantle faulty components.Conduct Major Inspections on machines.Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools.Compile fault lists on machines and conduct stability testing.QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: Trade certificate or equivalent.Strong work ethic, teamwork, and independence.Reliable, punctual, and clear communication skills.Experience in Forklifts & Access equipment.Work in varying conditions, such as noise and heat.Adhere to OH&S policies and wear appropriate protective equipment.Enjoy technical work with attention to detail.Strong customer service relationships.SALARY:
Our client offers an attractive package:
