Belle Banne Conveyor Services (BBCS) is a division of Fenner Conveyor Services, a fully owned subsidiary of Michelin. The Engineered Conveyor Solutions Division are world leaders in the manufacture of Conveyor Belting for mining and industrial applications.
BBCS has a total of 3 Engineering/ Manufacturing facilities in Victoria (Dandenong and Traralgon) and site/service branches in the Latrobe Valley supporting key service contracts.
Your New Team & Role
The Workshop Supervisor is an exciting role at our Projects site located in Traralgon, Victoria.
Reporting directly to the Projects Coordinator, the role will be responsible to oversee Workshop functions including Refurbishment, Stores and Equipment Logistics. This position is primarily responsible for managing Workshop manning, safety and quality compliance and workshop workflow management.
Your Key Responsibilities Coordinate workshop activities including fabrication and maintenance to effectively and efficiently utilise available labour resources.Manage maintenance of hire equipment.Manage quality assurance processes for manufacture of all equipment.Ensure compliance with internal and customer policy frameworks and HSE standards.Stocktake of inventory to ensure accurate collection of data and provide reports on inventory status against plan.Manage subcontractors to deliver manufacture of equipment to the highest standards.Job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day-to-day operations.Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing and quality checks.Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns.Identify staff requirements for current and projected Workshop service work.Provide proficient leadership and guidance to ensure effective and efficient team performance. About You
To be successful you will have:
Demonstrated workshop management experience in manufacturing environment.Minimum 2 years' supervisor experience.Preferably Trade qualified with knowledge and understanding of mechanical drawings, and principles for the maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic equipment.Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.High Risk License – Forklift, Rigging and Dogging, and HR Truck Licence (preferred)Unlimited working rights in Australia What's in it for you?
