The Opportunity Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, the Workshop Supervisor will oversee our Haulage maintenance operations at our Onslow Iron operations.
Your primary objective will be providing management for all labour and contract resources, managing day-to-day functions of safe and efficient asset maintenance, ensuring safe systems of work are employed and cost effective to minimising downtime.
This role is a full-time permanent position working on an 8:6/7:7 roster.
Manage and direct compliance with MRL Safety & HSEQT legislative requirements Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the workshop team Manage our team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers and Trade Assistants Schedule and prioritise repairs and maintenance tasks for haulage vehicles.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for parts and supplies.
Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work.
Mentor and motivate workshop staff to maximise productivity and performance.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimise equipment breakdowns Collaborate with other departments to optimise fleet operations What is required?
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years' experience demonstrated in a similar role with success in leadership, coordinating multiple trades and building relationships.
With experience in coordinating warehouse logistic operations in mining environments.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: Desirable, experience in in the haulage or transportation industry.
Australian recognised Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Current Section 44 or Section 26 Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
Leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently Exposure to a Fleet Maintenance software is highly desirable About CSI Mining Services CSI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mineral Resources (MinRes), is one of Australia's largest mining services contractors.
