If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Joyce Mechanical Services, a leading heavy equipment repair shop, is seeking a dedicated and responsible Storeperson to join our team.
The Storeperson roster is Monday to Friday; however, we can offer some flexibility to suit your family commitments.
Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts, tools, and equipment shipments.Organise and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely restocking.Create and maintain a well-organised and efficient storage system.Prepare and package items for shipping, ensuring proper documentation, labelling and quality presentation.Monitor and track inventory levels, anticipating needs and ordering necessary items.Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure prompt availability of parts and equipment.Keep the store area clean, organised, and hazard-free.Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.Requirements: Certifications in warehousing or inventory management are highly beneficial.HR licence is helpful but not a requirement.Must hold a forklift ticket.Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the heavy equipment or automotive industry.Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures.Proficiency in using computer systems.Ability to accurately and efficiently receive, store, and distribute parts and equipment.Excellent organisational and time management skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
