About the Role Reporting to the Service Supervisor, CRG has a permanent opportunity available for a Workshop Planner. This role will coordinate all planning and scheduling activities through the engine rebuild center. Your ability to manage multiple key stakeholders and maintain focus on activity and outcomes will be critical for success.
In this varied role, your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all behaviours are in line with Hastings Deering's commitment to No Harm and the Hastings Deering Lifesaving Commitments.Creating accurate project plans for machine major repairs and overhauls to be performed.Facilitating pre-execution meetings with the workshop team to ensure a clear understanding of scope and workflow prior to work commencing.Managing parts ordering processes, vendor delivery schedules, and labour demand requirements.Attending and participating in daily production meetings and driving actions from these meetings to address any issues.Reviewing and reporting on schedule compliance and working with the execution team to address any variance concerns.Reporting on planning & scheduling technical issues and providing recommendations to the Supervisor/Manager.Determining internal & external stakeholder engagement and communication plans to assist the execution and administration team with meeting service delivery expectations.Reporting weekly on overall labour forecast and machine repair/overhaul master schedule.Liaising with HDAL Support Representatives to identify all future machine rebuild opportunities and validation of work scopes.Following established continuous improvement processes to identify opportunities to improve work management processes.About You You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Certificate III or IV in Trade Certification or a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar function.Previous planning and/or scheduling experience in a workshop environment.Knowledge of Caterpillar or dealer parts identification systems.Ability to provide a very high level of customer service, whilst ensuring customer needs are addressed and expectations managed.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Committed to a No Harm Environment.Ability to maintain a safe and clean workspace.A continuous improvement commitment and positive attitude towards change.Demonstrated ability to use and acquire experience within various systems including Microsoft AX, Word, Project, SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel.About the Benefits Hastings Deering offers a wide range of benefits including:
