Workshop Manager

An exciting opportunity is available for an individual to lead and manage DMK Engineering's workshop in Dry Creek, South Australia. DMK Engineering has established itself as a highly respected and innovative company specialising in pipework, structural and food grade engineering projects Australia wide.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual who has a strong sense of ownership, a hands-on approach and excellent communication skills, to coordinate the daily operations of our highly skilled team of employees.
As Workshop Manager you will be responsible for the following:
Production planning, scheduling and coordination Staff supervision and guidance Quality control supervision Liasing with Project Managers in relation to labour requirements Conducting toolbox meetings and involvement in project meetings Ordering of materials and workshop consumables Ensuring workshop equipment is maintained and in order Controlling freight and logistical requirements Ensuring compliance to accreditation and standards is upheld Position Requirements: Previous experience in management of a team Strong organisational and communication skills Strong problem solving and decision making abilities Be a team player but also exhibit leadership skills Computer literacy; proficient with Microsoft Office programs Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening An attractive remuneration package is available for the suitable candidate.
