Description of the role We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand for our manufacturing facility in Mackay, QLD. This is a full-time permanent position with weekend work on a rotating roster.
Mandatory Qualifications & License SKILLS & EXPERTISE To be successful you will require: Trade qualified (Cert III in Engineering – Boilermaker) Previous experience as a Leading Hand with proven leadership skills is preferred but not essential Minimum 5 years experience in heavy fabrication and heavy repair in mining or manufacturing industry Experience in FCAW and ability to pass a 4G weld test to AS2980 standard, UT and visual A keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality and pride in your work An active and responsible approach to safety Good organisational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Great team player and results driven Experience using Microsoft software packages Be able to pass a medical which includes drug and alcohol testing Hold a current High Risk License with working at heights, forklift, overhead gantry and/or dogging will be highly regarded, but not essential Must be an Australian citizen or have the right to work in Australia What do we offer in return?
