Gambier branch is seeking an exceptional Foreman to lead our service department.
About the Role: As a Foreman, you'll mentor and monitor our workshop team, ensuring apprentices develop their skills and technicians have the resources they need.
You'll work closely with the Service Manager to streamline operations, optimize workshop space, and meet customer demands effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Facilitates the assignment of tasks and work areas to Service Department employees based on their skills and expertise.Aids in evaluating incoming repair orders and may engage in hands-on repairs.Reviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness.Guides and supports technicians and apprentices in diagnosing machine issues.Inspects and maintains all special tools, recommending new tools as needed.Communicates all customer complaints to the Service Manager or Service Location Manager.Organizes and schedules in-house training for technicians in collaboration with the Service Manager, as well as coordinate and conduct quarterly safety meetings.Coordinate and assist in the reconditioning of used equipment and the setup of new equipment.May authorize the release of equipment for customer delivery.Assist with performance appraisal feedback and participate in the selection and onboarding process for new team members.Step in for the Service Manager when required.Other duties as assigned.About You: The ideal candidate possesses strong time management skills, a desire to excel, and excellent communication abilities.

3+ years of experience as a Service Technician.Strong leadership skills and familiarity with John Deere products.Effective communication abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office.A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.A forklift license is preferred.What's in it for You?
