Solo Resource Recovery is a 100% Australian owned and operated industrial services and waste management company that has been providing efficient waste solutions for government, business, and households for 90 years.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled full-time Workshop Foreman (Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic) to join our busy workshop in Wingfield SA.As a part of our Solo team, you will benefit from:A competitive base hourly rateGood overtime opportunitiesCompany uniform and PPE items providedOn-the-job trainingA professional, team-oriented work environmentJob securityThe successful candidate will work on a fleet of Heavy Waste vehicles. Tasks will involve but not be limited to the following:Maintaining a fleet of Waste collection vehicles and associated equipmentSupervise and manage the workshop and mechanical staffReporting requirementsAssist in staff training and developmentAssist if required in both major and minor repairsHelp manage emergency breakdowns as they ariseScheduled maintenanceThe successful applicant will possess:Experience in managing staffA current heavy rigid truck driver's licenseFamiliarity with Quality Assurance & Occupational Health & SafetyGood communication and organisational skillsExperience in hydraulics, automotive electrics, or welding is not essential but would be an advantage, as would a forklift licence. Previous experience in a similar role would also be highly regarded.A generous rate will be negotiated, depending on experience.In accordance with our Company's recruitment process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical, which includes a drug test.
