About Us Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.
The Opportunity Hitachi is actively seeking a motivated individual to join the team in the position of Workshop HD Fitter at our Forrestdale Branch.
This opportunity will see you assemble, maintain and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.
You will also be responsible for:
The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standards To be successful in this role:
You will have relevant Mobile Plant (or similar) trade qualifications Have previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment. Heavy Rigid drivers licence and High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regarded A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM Benefits What is in it for you?
