Monday - Thursday - - (paid lunch breaks)Friday - - midday - 3 hours @ time & half, 3 hours @ double time The workshop Located just north of Newcastle this large, well equipped workshop facility is supported by;- Over 25 bays8 overhead cranesLunch/ canteen facilitiesHigh tech modern equipment at the forefront of technologyA wide range of tooling & excellent stocks of spare parts The workshop roleReporting to the section supervisor and working closely with other tradespeople, you will enjoy working in large workshop facility with highly experienced team of tradespeople. The role involves;- 75% - rebuilds25% - new machine assembly, maintenance and repairs, breakdownsMachinery - UG coal mining machinery, tunnelling equipment Your value You will have come from a trade qualified background and have strong experience working in a workshop-based environment. Trade qualification - mechanical fitting, diesel mechanic, light vehicle mechanicStrong hydraulic skills is very desirable - however not essentialWorkshop rebuild/ major component change out experience - highly regardedExcellent attitude towards work and safetyHigh attention to detail and quality of workLooking to further your skills and develop your experience on UG mining/ tunnelling machinery The opportunity This is a standout opportunity to further your skills and experience with a world-renowned OEM.
