They are seeking the appointment of a Mobile Sales & Service Technician for the Service and Supply Centre.Customer Service & SalesSupporting the daily operation of the Hose Service CentreAssisting customers in-person at the counter or over the phone to ensure their needs are metGenerating sales by upselling additional servicing, products, or revenue streams to customersMaintaining the work area to the highest standards, ensuring all equipment is serviced, calibrated, and in good working orderMaintaining the work area to ensure it is clean, tidy, and well-stockedCompleting all logs regularly to ensure they are up to dateCommunicating effectively with customers and stakeholders to provide comprehensive information on Pirtek services and capabilitiesMaintaining thorough customer records, including orders, quotes, and relevant datesProviding input to the Centre Manager to assist with the setting of sales objectives and targets for designated territoriesAssisting with data entry and inventory control duties as requiredPicking up and delivering goods as requiredTechnicalAssembling, supplying, and installing material transfer hoses and tubes per customer requests, utilising the most suitable equipment, products, and methods for efficient and high-quality work that meets customer expectationsSeeking advice and support from your manager in order to clarify any questions you may haveUtilising MOBILE for creating and updating all work orders to maximise efficiency and accuracy.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEEssentialsPrevious experience in fitting, mechanical, hydraulics or relevant areaHold a current manual Driver's Licence and willing to obtain a Light or Medium rigid licenceExperience in operating plant machinery and using tools and measuring devicesExcellent literacy and numeracy skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer serviceAbility to anticipate problems and proactively find solutionsExcellent time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritiseReliable and punctualHave a strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your workNeat and tidy presentationAbility to display confidence in representing PirtekA willingness to learn and undertake training as requiredMust have the right to work in AustraliaDesirablesPrevious experience or knowledge of the hydraulic hose industryPrevious experience or knowledge of the products used within this positionA trade certificate, preferably a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or related qualification)SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSAvailability and willingness to engage in the on-call schedule on a rotating basis, the frequency of which will be contingent on the rostered employee count and may vary periodically. While on-call, the Centre Technician is expected to remain accessible to answer phone calls and respond to after-hours callouts from the conclusion of their workday until the commencement of the next business day throughout the entire on-call period.This is an excellent opportunity in this solid international organization that keeps getting stronger.
