2 RDO's (Rostered Day Off) per month

Salary: EBA Level 4.1 ($82,600.08+Super)

Location: Lilydale

The role

To be successful, the Works Coordinator must work collaboratively with peers across all GMCT directorates, focusing on supporting GMCT activity relating to the safety, coordination, performance assessment and quality assurance of GMCT contractors and assets.
In particular, the Funeral Services team support families & stakeholders, through the delivery of a range of services related to funeral activity, predominantly with the family present.
Undertaking other duties in the best interests of the organisation within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification.
You may be asked to reasonably support other areas of the business which you have been trained in.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to

Carry out routine inspections of assets and create Work Requests, as required.
Administer regional Work Requests.
Coordinate Contractors to respond to planned and ad-hoc maintenance requests.
Perform Contractor maintenance quality inspections and report findings.
Complete site hazard inspection check list, where required.
Oversee induction of Contractors and ensure all Contractors perform in accordance with their Service Contracts and GMCT Policies and Procedures.
Ensuring appropriate administration and direction of stonemason activities and inspections at predetermined stages of monument construction.
Appropriately review and document stonemason activity and sign-off for installation compliance.
Ensure the correct and timely placement of memorialisation including plaque placement, interment/disinterment of cremated remains and plaques, ensuring appropriate administration and receipt of plaque orders have been delivered, scatterings etc.
Participate in any audit and action recommendations.
Provide assistance to memorialisation officer, as required.
Perform Monument Safety Checks.

About you

A relevant qualification in operations or other discipline.
Experience with team supervision or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
Ability to provide sound leadership and clear direction to staff and contractors.
Ability to discuss and resolve issues by problem solving and negotiation.
Possess cultural and religious awareness and sensitivity.
High level of interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to apply these with internal and external stakeholders.
