About the Role
The Workplace Relocations and Space Planning Officer sits within the Accommodation and Workplace Services branch and is responsible for enabling the efficient and effective utilisation of DTP workplaces. This is achieved through; preparing, analysing and reporting data on workplace utilisation, analysing space requirements, the provision of conceptual space plans, planning and delivering relocation projects and continuously monitoring trends and general business conditions.
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
• Prepare, analyse and interpret workplace utilisation data to enable effective decision making related to the DTP portfolio.
• Provide reports, business insights and analytics on people's behaviour and space utilisation in a measured, data driven and digestible format to end users.
• Analyse space requirements and provide conceptual space plans and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop scenario space planning tools/ models (exit/ maintain/ grow), maintaining Divisional or Group neighbourhoods and any changes in the department as a result of machinery of government changes.
• Prepare forecast and analyse space planning trends in general business conditions.
• Analyse, cleanse and interpret position and workstation data to obtain meaningful statistics relevant to the program requirements.
Key Selection Criteria – This role focuses on managing workplace relocations and space planning projects to ensure efficient use of departmental spaces. You will handle data collection and analysis to support decision-making, using your expertise in data literacy to establish data structures and visualizations. Your reporting skills will generate valuable insights for predictive analysis and modelling.
You will work as part of a dynamic team of professionals, your input to strategic decision making and implementing approved relocations state-wide forms part of this role.
Driving innovation and continuous improvement, you will enhance processes and outcomes by gathering feedback and implementing improvements. You will execute project tasks efficiently, utilising management tools and maintaining accurate records. Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
• Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level. Ability to utilise advanced excel formulas, pivot tables, power query editor and generation of data charts.
• Experience in workplace management, space budgets and auditing.
• Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office O365, Visio and SharePoint.
• A relevant tertiary qualification.
Desirable
• Experience with other MS Power Platforms (Power BI).
• Data Modelling.
• Working knowledge of Oracle, Zycus and the documentation process to support procurement and payments.
