About the Role:This 12-month appointment is an opportunity to lead key workplace relations functions and projects within Whitehorse City Council. With a focus on project delivery, the role will support initiatives aligned with our Enterprise Agreement strategy, remuneration projects, and policy updates in response to legislative changes. Reporting directly to the Manager of People and Culture, you will also provide employee and industrial relations advice, enabling a consistent and contemporary approach to workforce practices and challenges.
Key areas of focus include:
Delivering high-quality Employee Relations (ER) case management support. Collaborating with management, employee and union representatives on EA-related projects. Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and workforce strategies. About You:You are an experienced workplace relations professional with a proven ability to manage complex ER and IR issues. With a depth of expertise in case management, policy development, and compliance, you bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to your work.
Your ability to navigate complex environments and influence key stakeholders will be critical in delivering successful outcomes during this pivotal period. Experience in delivering large-scale workforce projects and working collaboratively with unions is highly desirable.
