Our welcoming and relaxed social environment is enjoyed by all corners of our community and we are committed to not only fulfilling but exceeding expectations through innovation, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to our core values.We're looking for a part-time (3 days per week) Workplace Relations Manager to join our team.Purpose: As a member of the People and Culture team, you're responsible for providing timely expert workplace relations advice as well as relevant coaching, training and support across our organisation.
This role is hands on in effectively managing, implementing, reviewing and actioning all industrial and employee relations matters, and pivotal to ensuring Tradies remains a positive, safe, fair and harmonious workplace, and employer of choice.Key Accountabilities:Manage, monitor and maintain all government legislated requirements including workplace policies and people related procedures, to ensure positive compliance between Tradies and their employeesProvide timely advice and interpretation to relevant stakeholders on legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, visas and immigration, employment terms and conditions, workplace policies, process and procedures and other employee regulations as relevantManage, monitor and maintain changes and advise on actions relevant to current workplace legislation, regulations and standardsFacilitate, manage, and document workplace relations interactions such as mediations, performance management, and other relevant meetings as requiredReview and manage relevant employee records such as contracts and other tailored workplace documentsInvestigate, manage and monitor all facets of Workers Compensation claims including injury management and return to work programs Lead, advise and train the Work Health Safety Committee and other relevant stakeholders within the organisation to ensure a strategic focus on keeping people safe, well & workingManage workplace claims and prepare documentation if required for the Fairwork Ombudsman and/or Industrial CourtsSupport People and Culture, Payroll and Rosters to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and other employee related regulationsDevelopment and facilitation of relevant training and workshops for the Board, Senior Leaders, Operational Leaders and Frontline team to ensure awareness and complianceManage, monitor and maintain systems that ensure data efficiency and record keeping integrity (such as version control mapping) for all areas of accountability Prepare monthly reports and trend data on relevant workplace relations metricsEnsure a continuous review of quality and external benchmarks where relevantMaintain strong working relationships with relevant union, industry and associated representativesRepresentation and attendance at relevant professional forumsAction relevant other human resource tasks as requiredContribute to and collaborate on People and Culture projects as requiredEssential capabilities: 3+ years of experience in workplace relationsTertiary qualifications in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Employment Law or related disciplineConciliation and mediation qualifications or certification in dispute resolution (desired)Demonstrated and extensive industrial relations and employee relations knowledge, expertise and experienceProven working knowledge and ability to interpret an apply complex legislation, modern awards, NES, WHS regulations, policies, trends and ensure awareness of ongoing developments in workplace relationsDemonstrated experience in negotiating enterprise agreements Established capability in practical management of workplace issues such as termination, performance management, employment conditions and grievance mediationDemonstrated capability in conducting thorough, meticulously documented workplace investigations for grievance and mediation mattersProven experience in coaching and educating people across all levels of the organisation to raise their capability in managing, and knowledge of, workplace relationsProven ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build trusting relationshipsStrong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to translate complex issues and concepts into 'plain English'Committed to the professional ethics of confidentiality and discretionHighly competent in skills across the Microsoft Office suite and relevant HRM systems Demonstrated leadership, accountability, problem solving and decision makingDemonstrated commitment to Tradies values and purpose, and to being of service Demonstrates personal accountability and highly developed personal motivationA commitment to continuous learning Team player who seeks to empower self and others through all actionsCapability in coaching and training 1 on 1 through to large groupsAgile and comfortable in managing change and being adaptableDemonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and continuous improvementDemonstrated commitment to time managementHold a valid NSW Driver's license and have access to a reliable
