As one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure businesses, our client has a strong track record of performance and delivering for their customers. Due to a pending business transition and growth across the business, they are seeking an experienced Workplace Relations specialist to join their team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, the Workplace Relations Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the employee and industrial relations function for this growing business. The Workplace Relations Manager will be responsible for developing the Workplace Relations strategy and executable plan, and establishing foundations of policies and guidelines whilst building a positive environment during complex organisational change. They will also be responsible for providing support and expert advice to the business on all industrial and employee relations matters. The Workplace Relations Manager owns the central relationship with the unions and will lead key negotiations.
About Success
Establishing a function that promotes and enables a progressive culture, coaching line managers and providing effective industrial and employee relations solutions, employee engagement and legal compliance will be key to your success. This newly created position will also play a critical role in managing an upcoming business transition and people integration activities.
About You
You are a seasoned workplace relations leader recognised as a credible expert in your field. You offer strong understanding and application of current employment law and industrial relations practices, and have experience in business integration activities and managing transitional agreements. Naturally consultative, you bring strong relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills in addition to a flexible approach to problem solving, best practice, and balancing policy and business issues to provide pragmatic solutions.
