Key Responsibilities
Expert Legal Advice:
Provide strategic legal counsel across a broad spectrum of workplace relations and employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, termination, and employee entitlements. Offer guidance on compliance with labour laws, understanding industry-specific regulations.
Representation in Industrial Relations:
Lead client representation in intricate industrial relations cases, covering unfair dismissal claims, workplace investigations, and discrimination allegations. Facilitate enterprise bargaining negotiations, using effective communication and negotiation strategies for favourable outcomes.
Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents:
Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, executive agreements, and consultancy arrangements, ensuring alignment with client objectives and legal standards. Develop and refine workplace policies, employee handbooks, and enterprise agreements to reflect legal best practices and adapt to emerging industry trends.
Legal Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough legal research to stay abreast of developments in workplace relations and employment law, addressing potential legal risks proactively. Analyse precedents, recent case law, and legislative changes, providing timely updates and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
Collaboration and Client Solutions:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm, including litigation, corporate, and regulatory experts, to provide holistic client solutions. Engage actively with clients to understand their business objectives, offering tailored legal strategies aligning with their commercial goals.
Continuous Professional Development:
