About the role As a leading provider of workplace relations consulting the Victorian Chamber is growing and has an opportunity for a Workplace Relations Consultant.
The team is made up of in-house HR professionals, business partners, ER consultants, compliance advisors, and those who have practiced law in in-house and private practice roles.
Some of the team even started their careers on the WPR Advice Line.

The role is responsible for providing high quality consulting services, including verbal and written advice to Victorian Chamber members, customers and clients in all aspects of workplace relations and employment legislation, including conducting a range of training and information sessions.
Our professional team delivers a range of fee for service consulting including modern award interpretation, wage and condition audits, workplace investigations, Fair Work Commission representation, enterprise agreement assistance, performance management and termination advice, and offer best practice solutions to solve complex issues.
About you Do you have an interest in industrial relations and human resources?
If so, we are looking for a Workplace Relations Consultant to join our team.
This position is well suited to an individual who has a passion for industrial relations/employee relations and employment legislation, has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders and has strong communication skills.
In addition, you will have many, or most of the below: An interest or passion for Human Resources.
A background of any kind in a human resources/IR role.
Degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources, or equivalent industry experience.
A passion for compliance, including wage audits and award interpretation.
A solid understanding of employment legislation and the Australian Industrial Relations system.
Excellent customer service skills and team orientation.
A high level of verbal and written communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to read and interpret case law and legislation.
An ability to confidently deliver training programs and presentations.
Leadership capacity with strong coordination and organisational skills.
The capacity to comprehend more technical IR/HR issues and communicate them in a user-friendly manner.
Capacity to provide support to the WPR Advice Line Manager and consulting team as required.
