The Opportunity We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, as well as NDIS and Aged Care requirements. You will have the opportunity to shape safety practices, influence policies, and create a positive impact for both our team and the wider community.
What You'll Do Ensure GCLA's compliance with WHS legislation, NDIS Practice Standards, and Aged Care Quality Standards.Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace inspections across our programs and services.Lead WHS training and inductions to ensure all staff are prepared and knowledgeable.Investigate incidents and implement strategies to prevent future risks.Develop and maintain emergency response plans, with a focus on ensuring the safety of NDIS participants and Aged Care clients.Provide expert advice and support on all WHS matters to leadership, staff, and external stakeholders.Why Join Us? You bring:
