Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Workplace, Health & Safety Manager to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and seasoned Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead our WHS team.
The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in a WHS role, ideally within the hospitality sector.
This role requires deep knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and motivate our staff.
This position will see you at the forefront of developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure a safe and thriving environment for all employees and guests.
You will guide, advise, and lead a diverse team by providing guidance to all department heads and working within our company commitment.
You will lead and champion Voyages' workplace health and safety strategy at Ayers Rock Resort in partnership with senior leadership.
Excellence will be driven through the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies, and practices.
You will create and sustain an industry-leading safety culture across all resort operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing organizational risk, and supporting the company's commitment to employee wellbeing and operational excellence.
This role requires:A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.A certification in First Aid and CPR.A National Criminal History Check is mandatory.A Snapshot of Your New Role:Develop and nurture strong partnerships across the company, with regulatory bodies, associations, and the industry.Act as a catalyst for change, actively promoting transparent safety discussions and hazard identification for all team members at Ayers Rock Resort.Champion WHS excellence through visible leadership and effective implementation of the Resort Safety Management System.Foster a proactive safety culture, empowering employees to prioritize safety.Implement and review WHS strategy and safety management systems.Ensure compliance with Commonwealth legislation, NT Work Health Safety Act, and national WHS requirements.Embed safety excellence and build organizational WHS capability.Continuously improve safety systems and processes.Monitor key safety performance indicators.Integrate WHS considerations into business planning.Champion digital solutions and emerging technologies for WHS management.Evaluate and implement innovative safety solutions.The Best Part:The highlight of being a Workplace, Health and Safety Manager is to foster an environment of trust and psychological safety where safety concerns are readily identified and addressed, as well as connect with like-minded management teams.
