About the role
WorkPac is seeking a Safety Officer with a strong understanding of safety regulations and risk management.
The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying hazards, implementing control measures, and ensuring safety protocols are followed across the site.

Key responsibilities
Identifying and assessing safety hazards on-site.
Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
Conducting regular safety inspections and audits.
Reporting and investigating safety incidents and accidents.
Providing safety training and guidance to workers.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintaining safety documentation and records.
Coordinating emergency response plans and drills.
Skills and Experience required
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
Experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
Ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
Proficiency in safety management tools and software.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Experience conducting safety training.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., Certificate IV in WHS).
Experience in the construction industry is essential.
