The Employee Relations team provides specialist support and advice regarding employee relations issues for client agencies. Workforce Relations Manager roles within the team have either an ER Generalist, Change Management, or Policy and Development focus. Key duties and responsibilities align with position focus.Key duties and responsibilities:Provide high-level Workforce Relations advice, guidance and coaching to clients on a range of workforce matters.Support agencies as required in Enterprise Agreement negotiations, Fair Work matters and submissions to the Commissioner for Public Employment.Lead or contribute to strategic HR projects that support consistent Workforce Services delivery across the NTPS.Develop and maintain effective partnerships with clients, human resource providers and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of business objectives.Undertake analysis of agency people matters and HR data to inform and develop effective solutions.Provide change management and organisational design advice and support to agencies consistent with best practice and aligned with legislative frameworks.Collaborate in the development of contemporary HR management strategies, policies, procedures and internet documentation aligned to corporate objectives, legislation and public sector initiatives.Selection criteria:Essential:Demonstrated experience and knowledge of strategic HR Management, organisational effectiveness and/or best practice change management principles, methodologies and tools available to facilitate change.High-level communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to establish collaborative relationships at all levels and across diverse cultures to positively influence HR practices.High-level conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to interpret and apply employment and/or work health and safety legislation.Highly developed project management and written skills with the ability to research and analyse information for preparing a range of high-level correspondence, policy, website and project documentation.Demonstrated work ethic and attitude, which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative and respectful.Desirable:Extensive knowledge of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act, the NTPS recruitment and selection processes or similar and HR Management systems.Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources or a related field.Further information: The recommended applicant will be required to undergo a criminal history check prior to selection being confirmed.
