ABOUT THE ROLE The Workforce Planning Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the Game Development casual workforce strategy and will support casual leaders and deployment teams with casual workforce management and workforce planning across the Game Development business unit.
A subject matter expert in casual workforce management and the Deputy time and attendance platform, this role will be a specialist in rostering, planning, recruitment and engagement and ensuring best practice workforce planning, along with the provision of support and guidance.
Reporting to the Head of Participation, this newly created position provides an exciting opportunity for a seasoned casual workforce planning expert to make an impact.
We're seeking a pragmatic and dynamic individual who's comfortable rolling up their sleeves and has a proven track record of seamlessly shifting from hands-on support with rostering to leading strategic initiatives.
Our ideal candidate has strong technical and practical experience working with a large and complex casual workforce.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Key Accountabilities: Design, develop, and implement a strategic workforce planning framework that aligns with organisational goals Analyse workforce data, identify trends, and forecast workforce requirements Support recruitment planning by providing insights and recommendations for short- and long-term hiring needs Be the subject matter expert across the business unit for the Deputy time and attendance system, leveraging the system to ensure continuous improvement, and facilitating system upskilling.
Translate complex workforce data into actionable insights tailored for different audiences.
Provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and cost savings within the workforce, focusing on continuous improvement.
Proactively identify operational, process and system opportunities to improve outcomes and provide strategic advice to the states and territories.
Deliver rostering solutions and collaborate with internal stakeholders to encourage workforce effectiveness and efficiency, in line with Award and legislative requirements.
Deliver dynamic recruitment, training and retention strategies that delivers a full portfolio of qualified, engaged and available casuals across the business.
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER Core Competencies: 5+ years' experience in workforce management and planning across a complex casual workforce in a dynamic environment (preferably retail or the like, with 500+ casuals).
Demonstrated history of establishing a fit for purpose workforce planning strategy.
In depth experience and understanding of the Deputy time and attendance platform.
Proven experience in data analysis, strategic workforce planning and effective rostering practices.
Knowledge of legislative requirements including Award and NES requirements as it relates to casual engagement.
Excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy and communication skills.
A proactive and solutions focused mindset, with the ability to translate complex problems into simple and tangible solutions.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills along with the ability to provide high quality advice, strategies and recommendations to a range of audiences.
