About the opportunity
We are seeking a Resource Planning and Rostering Specialist to join our dynamic team at StarTrack Tullamarine, where your key responsibility will be ensuring we have the right resources in place for smooth and efficient freight handling operations across our AM and PM shifts.
You'll be part of a forward-thinking team that is focused on optimising operational performance, reducing costs, and delivering exceptional service outcomes.

In this role, you will:
Lead freight handling resource planning and rostering to ensure optimal shift operations.
Manage and support leave and timekeeping processes, ensuring accurate reporting.
Analyze operational data to drive insights, identify issues, and recommend solutions to improve business performance.
Collaborate with Shift Managers, Supervisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure high service standards are maintained.
Contribute to the planning and execution of capacity management and long-term resource forecasting.
Monitor compliance with safety, health, and wellbeing standards, driving a culture of safety across the team.
You will report to the State Administration Manager VIC/TAS and work closely with Duty Managers, Shift Supervisors, and other internal stakeholders, as well as external suppliers and service providers.

You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and understands the importance of meticulous planning and data analysis to drive operational excellence.
You are a strong communicator who can build relationships across teams and influence key stakeholders to meet both short- and long-term goals.
You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are always looking for ways to improve performance.

You'll also need
Proven experience in an operational business environment, particularly in shift-based operations.
Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting complex data and providing actionable insights.
Experience in an EBA environment and familiarity with audit and compliance programs.
Ability to influence internal stakeholders and manage shift expectations effectively.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Experience using Tableau is advantageous.
