About the roleTAFE SA is looking for a Workforce Optimisation Lead to champion operational excellence and lead us towards stronger workforce planning. As the Workforce Optimisation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Student Experience Directorate is equipped with the right resources to meet service demands efficiently. This newly created position involves designing and implementing innovative workforce strategies to optimise talent and resources. You will partner with leaders across the directorate to align workforce planning with organisational goals. You will use your skills and experience to forecast trends and demands through the implementation of a workforce management system, and drive performance improvements through data analysis and real-time resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement workforce management and scheduling tools.Forecast and monitor resource allocation across Student Experience teams.Collaborate with leaders to align workforce skillsets with service needs.Provide real-time workforce adjustments to maintain service levels.Analyse performance metrics, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.Consult on continuous workforce improvement initiatives.Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery goals.Key Selection Criteria: Proven experience managing workforce optimisation, including proficiency with workforce management software.Strong analytical skills for forecasting and reporting on workforce data.Exceptional communication skills, including report writing and business case development.Expertise in designing and improving workforce strategies and evaluation frameworks.Strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities.Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results under pressure.Understanding of Aboriginal culture and community.Desirable: Training in workforce management for customer service or contact centres.Special ConditionsThe successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
