To reduce our dependence on rainfall and groundwater and support the growing population, Water Corporation has formed the Alkimos SeaWater Alliance, which includes ACCIONA and Jacobs.The Alliance will design, construct, operate and maintain the Plant which will produce 50 billion litres of drinking water per year, with provision to expand by an additional 50 billion litres per year in the future.
Construction of the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant has recently commenced and the project is expected to be completed in 2029.The Alliance is committed to making this project an example of how well Training and Aboriginal Engagement can be done.
We are seeking a talented professional to lead the development and implementation of our Training, L&D, and Aboriginal engagement programs.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop a Trainee and Apprenticeship program that draws people from diverse backgrounds and sees them upskilled in opportunities with ACCIONA and our subcontractors on the project.Implement our Aboriginal Engagement strategy across the employment, procurement of Aboriginal businesses, training, and cultural awareness and education.Engage with subcontractors so that they are motivated to take part in the traineeship, apprenticeship, and Aboriginal engagement programs delivered by the project.Develop and implement L&D programs in collaboration with the HR team to improve engagement with our staff and provide them skills that will allow them to progress in their career.Identify and work with government and Water Corporation initiatives to identify Aboriginal engagement, upskilling, and funding opportunities.Regularly report in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.Required Skills and CompetenciesSignificant experience facilitating traineeships and apprenticeships.Exposure to developing and implementing L&D programs for professional staff.Experience delivering Aboriginal engagement programs.Knowledge of current Government upskilling initiatives and funding opportunities.What We OfferAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
