The Role The Workforce Deployment Scheduler role is primarily to ensure efficient allocation of technical workforce in the context of a high reliability maintenance organisation.
The work contributes to the planning and scheduling of maintenance services facilities in accordance with approved standards to ensure the ongoing reliability of front-line airways systems.
The Workforce Deployment Scheduler is responsible for building and maintaining the packages of work to teams and integrate the work management requirements contributing to the safety, efficiency, effectiveness of the airways system, with regard to safe guidance of aircraft and safety to the travelling public.

The successful applicant will have sound understanding and experience in maintaining work schedules in a CMMS system (preferably SAP). You will also ensure accuracy of the maintenance schedules through development of integrated Project & maintenance work schedules for the maintenance areas stakeholders, non-urgent CM and Projects and ad hoc workload.
You will successfully build and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders and proactively seek feedback to ensure continuous improvement to processes and systems.
The successful candidate will lead staff, work cross collaboratively within the team to facilitate the ASA PM schedules and be able to prioritize, co-ordinate, adjust and manage all short notice escalations between broader team and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Significant experience working as a Maintenance Scheduler in the context of a high reliability organisation.Knowledge and expertise of scheduling practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to maintenance execution.In-depth, hands-on understanding and experience in the use of SAP Plant Maintenance and GWOS (or similar planning product) for scheduling and planning purposes.Developed organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work under pressure and under limited supervision.Demonstrated high level of liaison, interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills, exercising confidentiality, combined with well-developed research and analytical skills.A knowledge and commitment to the principles and practices of Equity and Diversity, the WH&S Act and its Regulations, and a demonstrated willingness and ability to implement these in the workplace.Demonstrated high of computer literacy with advanced proficiency in Excel modelling and proven ability to quickly learn new computer applications.A Diploma of Engineering/Business or other relevant qualification for this role (i.e. Advanced Trades Qualification) or prior learning in a Planning/Scheduling role in the context of a high reliability maintenance organisation.Airservices Australia is a diverse and inclusive employer that recognises the benefits of having a workforce that reflects the communities in which we work.
