Scope of the Role
This role involves working with clients to design and engineer mining components that are essential for extending the life of vital and expensive mining machinery.
Main Duties The role requires the utilization of advanced 3D scanning technologies to capture precise data on mining components, ensuring that functionality requirements are clearly defined. Analyzing existing mining components to understand their materials, ensuring these components can be effectively manufactured. Developing innovative designs for mining components based on project requirements using CAD software to create comprehensive engineering drawings and specifications. Engineering components to improve their performance, efficiency, and durability. Evaluating material properties to ensure optimal selection for mining applications, conducting material testing and analysis to assess durability and performance. Creating prototypes for new designs and conducting thorough testing to validate their performance, collaborating with on-site testing teams to analyze results and make design improvements as necessary. Conducting cost analyses to optimize designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising the quality of the designs and components. This is a full-time role, requiring a minimum of 38 hours per week.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant post-qualification experience is required. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to produce robust and innovative mechanical engineering designs that ensure the effective operation of products and create ongoing demand from the client base.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation#J-18808-Ljbffr
