About The Role We are looking for a skilled Rigid Driver who is motivated and physically fit. Reporting to the Operations Manager in our Alice Springs depot, you will be available from Monday to Friday. You will be an experienced truck driver and also be licensed and able to operate a forklift. You will safely and efficiently load and unload pick-ups and deliveries between our depot and regional, local customers.

Your Duties Include Drive a rigid vehicle both inside the depot, and on local and regional routes; Liaise with the Fleet Controller to determine what deliveries and pick-ups are to be undertaken; Load a range of general interstate freight, including oversized, blended and long length to legal capacity and blend freight to achieve maximum payloads; Load and unload freight; Manual handling; Follow safe operating procedures and comply with company policy. To Be Considered For This Role You Must Have Current and valid MR/HR Licence; Proven experience planning road trips to meet safety, efficiency and customer expectations; Hold a Forklift License (LF) with excellent Forklift skills; Be physically fit to handle repetitive heavy lifting up to 20kgs; Be motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team; Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Have a commitment to safe work practices; Work autonomously as required; Dangerous goods experience with exposure to Workplace Safety requirements would be an advantage.
