About the Role The role of a Workday Function Specialist at John Holland involves configuring and customising the Workday system for the finance modules, troubleshooting issues, providing training and support to finance users, and contributing to system enhancements. Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do: You will be responsible for configuring and customising the Workday system, particularly in the finance modules, to meet the specific requirements of John Holland's finance processes. This involves setting up financial hierarchies, charts of accounts, cost centers, and other financial elements within Workday. You will work closely with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and identify system gaps or areas for improvement. This involves understanding the needs of the finance department and translating them into effective Workday solutions. You will be involved in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and functionality of the Workday system. This includes conducting unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to validate the configured finance processes. As a functional specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the finance modules in Workday. This involves investigating system errors, identifying the root cause, and implementing appropriate solutions or workarounds. You will provide training and support to finance users on how to effectively use the Workday system for their day-to-day operations. This includes conducting training sessions, creating user documentation, and addressing user inquiries or issues. You may be involved in system enhancement projects or system upgrades to improve the functionality and performance of the Workday finance modules. This includes evaluating new features, recommending enhancements, and assisting in the implementation of system upgrades.
