The Senior Principal Consultant will "bridge the gap" between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems.
They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday Adaptive implementation.
Key Responsibilities: Be a Workday Adaptive expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
Reinforces company policies and procedures to others.
Drives and makes decisions regarding tactical direction of project workstreams.
Identifies dependencies and supports interplay between different workstreams within a project.
Leads, mentors, and oversees the work of other Consultants within their projects.
Expected to be Subject matter expert (SME) in FP&A area.
Duties & Tasks: Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client's unique business requirements at all stages of the project in FP&A area.
Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday Adaptive solution.
Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team, and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one's skills and learnings with others within the organization.
Support sales in terms of estimation, discovery, client orals, RFP response.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
4+ years of Workday Adaptive or any other planning tool implementation experience, required.
10+ years of experience in FP&A area as a user or implementer.
Skills Required: Workday Adaptive Planning (Highly Desirable) experience.
Experience in working with another planning tool such as IBM (TM1), Anaplan, or any other tool will be considered for this role.
Background in financial or supply chain roles.
Data driven and solution driven mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience and track record in the design and development of solutions.
Experience gathering business requirements, designing, and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.
