You will be responsible for leading the delivery of civil works that support all aspects of AGL Hydro operations and maintenance; including leading routine (planned) and breakdown (unplanned) maintenance, planned outages and the local operation of AGL Hydro's plant and associated infrastructure.Based in Mt Beauty, this role requires planning coordination and oversight of civil works performed by AGL staff and contractors, with the ability to provide strong leadership and drive business results.What you'll be doing:Supervise safe delivery of civil works, plant operation and fault-finding, clerical administration functions and SAP processing, ensuring high performance outcomes from staff and external contractors alike.Lead and coordinate all aspects of unplanned and planned/scheduled maintenance.Undertake Capex and Opex project works as required; prepare scopes, estimates and co-ordinate implementation works including ordering materials, arranging plant hire and workforce or contractor resource management.Lead the effective use of SAP and innovation in the maintenance planning and execution functions, and continuously improve site-based plans and procedures.Review and update documents, drawings and procedures as required.What you'll bring to the table:Relevant trade or tertiary qualification, with strong background in delivery of civil maintenance and project works; within a heavy industrial work environment.Proven success leading multiple work teams across remote sites, Certificate 4 in Frontline Management (highly advantageous, but not essential).Sound knowledge of construction HSE requirements, including safe mobile plant operations.An understanding of the use, operations, and maintenance of power generation and water harvesting assets to ensure cost effective, efficient, reliable, and safe operation.Good planning skills to effectively coordinate and implement both long and short term works programs.Commercial acumen and sound negotiations skills, along with well-developed analytical and technical problem-solving skills.Applications close 27 November.Inclusion at AGLAt AGL, we value diversity and welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, culturally diverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
