About Us Join our close-knit Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team at Murdoch University and play a vital role as part of the Portfolio of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Education.
We are a central team supporting the provision of internships, professional experience and clinical placements for students in all disciplines across the university.
The Role As the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Senior Officer at Murdoch University you will provide comprehensive and practical support for WIL activities within the School of Education through the developments and maintenance of positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your key duties will include: Establishing and nurturing effective relationships with schools (public and private), early learning centres and government agencies to create WIL opportunities for Education students.Offering ongoing support and guidance to students, workplace supervisors and academic staff, ensuring the successful continuation of existing work placement programs and addressing issues as needed.Preparing and updating documentation and materials related to placements and acting as a central point of contact for all stakeholders regarding WIL governance and compliance queries.Maintaining comprehensive records for student placements, agreements, and mentors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in SONIA (placement management system).What you'll bring to this role Tertiary Qualification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Experience within the Education sector, preferably coordinating placements or student experience programs.Proven ability to use excellent communication and customer service skills to maintain successful partnerships with multiple stakeholder groups.High level of interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.Demonstrated organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Strong sense of proactivity and responsibility, being able to take initiative and problem-solve when required.Advanced critical thinking and decision-making skills, with ability to work with minimal supervision.High computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite.Highly desirable - experience with placement management program (Eg.
