Your primary responsibilities will include:Actively contribute to developing the school's safety culture, WHS focus and legislative compliance.Oversee, implement, and update the school's WHS policies and procedures with adherence to the school WHS annual plan.Manage and schedule school staff training in areas of Work Health and Safety and maintain a current register.Manage the completion of regular safety-related audits, inspections, and record keeping.Conduct necessary investigations into incidents and provide effective support for the long-term control of any identified risks.Manage and maintain the currency of the school's emergency plans as well as prepare and review scheduled drills.To be eligible, applicants require:Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)National Police CheckHigh level interpersonal and organisational skillsA willingness to work in a team environmentThe ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Work Health & Safety, preferably with experience in an educational setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will interact with staff, students, and external authorities.
