Work Health & Safety Specialist

Our client is a statutory agency tasked with the significant responsibility of protecting Australia's national interests from foreign threats. As well as collecting and analysing foreign intelligence, our client provides information security services to the Australian Government.
The Role This opportunity seeks an experienced Work Health and Safety Specialist to lead the implementation of our client's newly drafted WHS Strategy to ensure a high-level of integration and consistency.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leadership, direction and technical control of the relevant WHS functionLeadership responsibility for the relevant team memebersManagement of allocated resources, priorities, workflows and strategic and business outcomesProvision of specialist expertise to WHS capabilityProvision of advice on complex WHS mattersCommunication and advocacy for the WHS function with stakeholdersEngagement with senior leadership on specialist mattersSkills and Experience Strong leadership experience and relevant WHS skills and qualificationsExcellent organisational, communication and time management skillsExperience managing complex projectsIt is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current NV1 security clearance.
