Mercy Connect is a not-for-profit Catholic organisation delivering a range of programs registered under the NDIS. Our programs support people with disability to build skills and capability to ensure they can participate in leading a meaningful life.
Job Description
The Role:
Mercy Connect has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time WHS Officer who will play a crucial role in helping to create a safer work environment, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and building a culture where safety is a shared responsibility among all employees.
Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, the WHS Officer will primarily be based at our Corporate Office in Thurgoona, with periodical travel required to other Mercy Connect locations in the Riverina and Central West regions of NSW.
About you:
As the WHS Officer you will have a combination of technical expertise in WHS regulations and strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels.

Desired Skills and Experience
Key Selection Criteria:
Conducting regular safety reviews such as risk assessments and hazard identification to minimise the risk of workplace injuries.
Ensuring the Mercy Connect adheres to all health and safety laws and regulations and related NDIS Practice Standards.
Fostering a proactive and positive safety culture within Mercy Connect.
Developing positive business partnerships through the provision of values-led, solution focused support to all stakeholders.

First Aid Certificate
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
