About the Department for Correctional ServicesThe Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and sixteen Community Correctional offices across the state.

DutiesThe Work Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator is accountable to the Team Leader Safety Systems for:
Developing, implementing and monitoring of WHS systems, policies and proceduresDeveloping health and safety plans and initiativesProviding appropriate WHS advice and information to staff and ManagementContributing to corporate WHS initiatives and projectsSpecial ConditionsSection 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check.
A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
A flexible approach to working hours is required.
Some intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
The incumbent is a member of the PBS Directorate and will be required to work at multiple sites.
