Work Health And Safety Coordinator

The WHS Coordinator drives, organises and supports Council's work health and safety culture and strategy by educating, coaching, supporting, encouraging and providing technical guidance to leaders and teams to ensure they understand their responsibilities under work health and safety laws and to enhance their commitment to health and safety in the workplace, reducing risk and injury and ensuring a safe workplace.The role manages, reviews and updates the WHS management system, produces and analyses data to make recommendations, report on, and inform Council decisions about work health and safety.Essential Qualifications:Experience in performing a similar role, or in taking a lead in WHS in a workplace.Solid understanding and experience in taking a proactive approach to improving health and safety practices.Knowledge of the application of WHS legislation, standards, and best practices.Salary and Conditions:Full-time position.
Central Coast Council's Enterprise Agreement Professional Officer Level $105,864 – $119,581.
