Key Responsibilities:Support Southern Ports (SP) project teams to safely initiate and execute works on site ensuring all SPA safety requirements are met.Comply with and demonstrate a positive commitment to organisational processes and ISO Management Systems including Environment, Safety Information Security and Asset Management.Provide hands-on safety leadership and empower a modern and maturing WHS culture with Contractors, in aligning to Southern Ports values and systems.Participate, support and assist, Asset Recovery Programs and Port Development Project Teams in contractor evaluation processes, specifically related to WHSS, site access and security at all stages of a contractors progress.Develop, lead, facilitate and participate in risk assessments (CRAW / JHA) that reduce workplace hazards and associated risks to health and safety, through risk management processes.Maintain evidence documentation of evaluations, reviews, site inspections, audits and reporting.Lead, conduct, review ICAM and 5 WHY incident investigations and reporting, that strengthen organisational capacity to manage business and personal risk that ensures regulatory compliance, or drives improvement that achieves modern best practice standards.Regularly compile, analyse, interpret and report as requested.Develop and maintain project and site specific action plans based on risk.Ensure timely close out of assigned actions to WHS Coordinator, project teams and contractors.Provide training and assessment as required to support the business, including facilitate contractor site onboarding and inductions, delivery of safety specific training programs.Report all events into the SP INX reporting system, in a timely manner. Daily review submitted events, taking ownership where assigned actions.Under direction from the HSS Manager, develop and implement initiatives appropriate to the work health and safety (WHS) management system.Conduct formal access card checks to ensure Access Control compliance by contracted workers, including subcontractors and suppliers.Monitor and report Environmental concern, spills, events no matter how minor, from within and external to contractor works.Essential to be successful in the role:Minimum Certificate IV in WHS.ICAM trained.Current Senior First Aid Certificate.Current WA "C" Class Drivers Licence.Recent demonstrated WHS Coordinator experience within civil engineering, construction, or heavy industrial environment, experience (minimum 3 years) in site role.Ability to work autonomously with effective decision making and time management and can analyse problems and identify solutions.Can "hit the ground running", with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and build productive relationships with stakeholders and customers.Current valid NPC or ability to obtain one.How to apply:If you meet the above requirements and would like to apply, APPLY NOW - I will call you to discuss your application details if shortlisted.
