The opportunity: EBOS Group have an exciting opportunity for a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor to join our WHS team on a 6-month / maternity leave contract.
Reporting to the General Manager Safety and Wellbeing, in this role you will ensure a strong safety culture is established and maintained across the organisation through the implementation strategic risk management programs and compliance with WHS management policies and procedures.
The role will require you to work closely with relevant stakeholders across the sites (within Victoria) to achieve best practice. Hence, your ability to build relationships at all levels will be critical to success.
Willingness for regular travel across VIC (Majority in SE Melbourne) and occasional travel to TAS and a current driver's license is essential.
What you will do: Actively support the business units within your Region identify, assess and control workplace hazards.Keep stakeholders updated with any changes to EBOS Group WHS policy and procedural requirements.Support business units with developing targeted WHS programs.Ensure the business units WHS Management portal Mango is fully implemented and maintained up to date across businesses and worksites within the VIC / TAS Region.Support business units to ensure all incident reports are appropriately investigated with corrective actions assigned and followed through.What we are looking for: Tertiary qualifications in WHS as well as proven experience in a warehouse and distribution environment;Strong working knowledge of current VIC / TAS WHS legislation and regulations;Excellent organisational and planning skills;Strong negotiation skills;Ability to coach and develop employees.Why us?
