WordPress & Shopify Developer - Front-end (React.JS) Employment Status: Full-time Experience Requirements: 3+ years in WordPress 2+ years in Shopify Details: Work hours: 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM (AEST) Weekdays: Monday to Friday Needed ASAP Job Location: Remote Negotiable We are looking for a WordPress & Shopify Developer who will work directly with one of our Australian clients. This is a full-time job where you will be responsible for developing and designing frontend web architecture, building & modifying the websites (e-commerce CMS preferable), WP themes/plugins, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and tech integration among other duties.
Key Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skill is required (Professional-level English) Ability to develop new Plugins and Custom Themes from scratch using WordPress API and following WordPress coding (W3C) standards. Experienced in website development in Shopify. Skilled in theme customization in Shopify. Strong Front End skills and experience in React.js (Next.js) Expertise in WordPress/WooCommerce Proficiency in Front End technologies (HTML/CSS/JS/Liquid/PHP) and frameworks like Bootstrap Expert in the CSS frameworks (Twitter Bootstrap/Tailwind CSS/Foundation framework) Experience with UI is a must-have, i.e. Figma is preferred. Proven SEO experience will add great value. Must have experience in Theme Options (e.g. Customiser & Builder). Display a thorough understanding of the WordPress ecosystem including the standard e-commerce functionalities. Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages (PHP & React). Ability to write W3C verified source codes. Extreme attention to detail, particularly on the front end. Creative mindset in creating and designing websites. Strong work etiquette and the ability to work autonomously. Essential requirement for remote workers to have a fully operational workstation. Agency experience (preferably marketing agency), particularly with managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. Responsibilities: Reviewing and analyzing websites (WordPress) along with the areas of improvement and optimization. Develop web applications (Themes) from scratch in WordPress and Shopify. Develop custom functionalities (plugins/extensions) when required. Perform site backups & version controlling (GitHub). Develop and manage the e-commerce functionalities. See out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail. Create a functional yet visually appealing user interface that is both intuitive and practical to use. Creating the website architecture and helping the team with your own opinion to select development & design patterns. Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration (Mostly on a cPanel-based server). Implement functionality, design, and integrate it with relevant services and workflows. Work directly with product and customer teams to deliver the best outcomes for practitioners. Access to industry best practice tools and concepts, including APIs, cloud hosting, UI frameworks, deployment, and more.
