The Woolworths Group Finance team is positioned to support change and continuous improvement across the business whilst continually focussing on providing excellent customer experiences to key stakeholders.
What you'll do
Prepare, review and investigate divisional trading results and provide critical financial support with insightful reporting of the gross profit result and balance sheet to relevant Finance teams.
Ensure reconciliations are prepared effectively, provide clear description of outstanding items, have appropriate supporting documentation and an action plan for resolution.
Uphold accounting policies and standards through rigorous reviews.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate, leveraging technology to increase efficiency.
Coach and mentor a small team of subject matter experts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Partner & collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the business to deliver value and drive strategic decision-making.
What you'll bring
Finance related degree with a CA or CPA qualification Proven experience in a similar senior accounting role managing end-to-end P&L and Balance Sheet processes.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including strong presentation and storytelling skills.
Strong business partnering skills with a focus on building relationships, understanding business needs, and driving customer-centric solutions.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, BPC) are essential.
Knowledge of SQL, GCP, or Tableau is highly desirable.
