About the Role:An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Climate, Sustainability and Energy Policy team from our Melbourne office. You will play a key role in supporting Woodside's engagement with investors and other stakeholders on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) topics, in particular through communications and engagement with the Australian financial community, non-government organisations and representative and advisory bodies.
Duties & Responsibilities:Collaborate and work closely with the Climate Sustainability and Energy Policy team and Investor Relations team at Woodside, who are based in Perth, WA.Act as primary point of contact for engagement upon ESG topics in Melbourne and East Coast surrounding, particularly for ESG stewardship managers at Australian superannuation companies and other investors.Understand and provide insight into the perspectives of the financial community and other stakeholders.Contribute to the development of Woodside's sustainability-related plans, as well as their communication.Skills & Experience:Skills Ability to work independently whilst closely collaborating with a remote team.Ability to create networks and interact with a broad range of stakeholders and problem solve to achieve business outcomes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyse disparate information to identify commonalities and insights.Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.Knowledge of current sustainability topics, international reporting frameworks, standards and assurance processes (desired).Behaviours Always behaves in a manner consistent with Woodside values.Active listener with a team mentality.Able to influence across all levels of the business.Qualification Relevant tertiary qualification.Experience in the energy industry is not essential but experience in a sector that has to manage environmental and social risks will be needed.Experience working in or with institutional investors, analysts and financial markets.If you think you can do this job but don't meet all the criteria, that's OK!
